Bella
Excessive grease vaporization and poor ventilation
Bella air fryer produces excessive smoke during cooking.

Possible Causes
Cooking very fatty foods at high temperature, Grease buildup on heating element and cavity walls, Overfilled basket blocking airflow, Using oil with low smoke point
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If heavy smoke appears, pause the cooking, unplug the unit, and carefully remove the basket. Keep the area ventilated.
Usage adjustments:
- Avoid overfilling the basket; follow Bella's recommended maximum fill line.
- For very fatty foods (bacon, sausages), reduce the temperature slightly and shake the basket more frequently to drain excess fat.
- Use oils with higher smoke points (e.g., canola, avocado) and apply only a light coating.
Cleaning:
- After the unit cools, remove the basket and pan and wash them thoroughly with degreasing dish soap.
- Wipe the interior walls and the underside of the heater shroud with a damp cloth to remove grease splatter. Do not spray cleaner directly into the unit.
- If grease is baked onto the heater guard, carefully clean it with a non‑metallic brush.
Regular cleaning of the basket, pan, and interior surfaces will greatly reduce smoke production.
