How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes before troubleshooting. Hot internal parts can cause burns.

Step 1 – Allow full cool-down

  • Remove the basket and pan to help the unit cool faster.
  • Ensure the unit is not sitting in a confined space or against a wall; it needs airflow around the rear and sides.
  • After 30–45 minutes, plug back in and test.

Step 2 – Check for blocked vents and overloading

  • Inspect the rear and bottom vents for grease buildup, dust, or obstructions. Clean with a soft brush or vacuum (unit unplugged).
  • Do not cover the top or rear of the air fryer while in use.
  • Avoid overfilling the basket; large loads can trap heat and trigger over-temp errors.

Step 3 – Inspect thermal safety devices (advanced)

  • Unplug the unit and remove the outer housing screws to access the upper heater area.
  • Locate the thermal fuse and/or high-limit thermostat mounted near the heating element.
  • Check for signs of overheating (discoloration, melted insulation).
  • Use a multimeter to test continuity across the thermal fuse and thermostat. An open reading indicates a blown device.

Step 4 – Replace failed components

  • If the thermal fuse is open, replace it with the exact temperature and rating specified for your Dash model.
  • If the high-limit thermostat is open at room temperature, replace it.
  • If both test good and vents are clear, the NTC sensor or control board may be misreading temperature and should be tested or replaced by a technician.

Warning: Never bypass or short a thermal fuse or thermostat. These are critical safety devices that prevent fire.
