How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure good ventilation when performing burn-off cycles.
- Initial cleaning: Wash all removable parts (baskets, racks, drip tray) with hot soapy water and dry thoroughly.
- Wipe interior: Wipe the interior cavity with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then wipe again with a clean damp cloth to remove residue.
- Burn-off cycle: Run the fryer empty at 400°F (or highest setting) for 15–20 minutes with good kitchen ventilation. Repeat once or twice if needed.
- If smell persists after multiple cycles: Inspect for any melted plastic parts near the heater or fan and replace any deformed components.
