Possible Causes
Heavy grease buildup on heating element, Residue on fan guard and chamber walls, Oil trapped under basket and drawer surfaces
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool completely before cleaning.
- Deep clean basket and drawer: Remove and soak in warm soapy water. Use a non‑metal brush to remove baked‑on grease. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Clean heating element: With the unit unplugged, gently wipe the element with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid excessive water and do not bend the element.
- Clean fan guard and interior: Use a soft brush and degreaser to clean the fan guard and inner walls. Wipe with a damp cloth and then dry.
- Burn‑off cycle: After cleaning and reassembly, run the air fryer empty at high temperature for 10 minutes with good ventilation to burn off remaining residues.
Warning: Do not use oven cleaners or abrasive pads on non‑stick surfaces; they can damage the coating.
