Possible Causes

Empty rinse aid container, Blocked rinse aid dosing line, Faulty rinse aid dosing pump, Defective rinse aid level sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power before opening service panels. Wear gloves when handling chemicals.

  • Check rinse aid supply: Verify that the external rinse aid container is not empty and that the suction tube is fully submerged. Refill with the correct Meiko-approved rinse aid.
  • Inspect suction filter: At the end of the rinse aid suction tube, clean the small filter or foot valve. Remove any crystallized chemical or debris.
  • Bleed dosing line: Air in the dosing line can cause E8. Use the machine’s priming function (if available) to run the rinse aid pump until a steady flow is observed at the injection point.
  • Test rinse aid pump: Access the chemical dosing pumps. Check for leaks, cracked tubing, or a seized pump head. Measure coil resistance; replace the pump if the motor or solenoid is defective.
  • Check level sensor (if fitted): Some Meiko models use a level sensor in the rinse aid container. Inspect and clean the sensor, and verify wiring. Replace if it does not detect fluid correctly.
  • Run a cycle: After correcting supply and pump issues, run several cycles to confirm that E8 does not reappear and that drying performance improves.
