Possible Causes
Clogged grease channel, Missing or misaligned drip pan, Excessive buildup on interior walls, Smoker not level
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Hot grease can cause burns. Let the smoker cool before cleaning.
- Level the smoker: Use a level to ensure the smoker is not tilted forward. Adjust legs or place shims under the front feet if needed.
- Clean grease paths: Remove racks and pans. Scrape and wipe grease from interior walls, especially near any drain channels or holes.
- Check drip pan position: Confirm the Char‑Broil drip pan is installed in the correct location and fully under the drain outlet.
- Regular maintenance: After each few cooks, clean the drip system to prevent future clogs.
