Possible Causes
Cooking with very high humidity and low vent opening, Cold ambient temperatures, Blocked vent, Missing or misaligned drip deflector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use oven mitts when adjusting vents during operation.
Steps:
- Open the exhaust vent slightly more to allow moisture to escape while maintaining smoke.
- Verify any internal drip deflector or top baffle is installed correctly to channel condensation away from food.
- Avoid placing very cold food directly into a hot smoker; allow it to warm slightly to reduce condensation.
- After cooking, leave the door slightly open during cool-down to vent moisture.
