Possible Causes
Loose communication harness between control board and metering module, Faulty Schneider EVlink communication module, Electrical noise or surge damage, Incorrect termination on RS-485/CAN bus (if used)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal modules or communication wiring.
- Check external network first: If your EVlink is connected via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, verify the router and network are functioning. However, E13 typically refers to internal communication.
- Inspect internal harnesses: With power OFF, open the enclosure and locate the low-voltage communication cables between the main control board and any submodules (metering, RFID, communication). Ensure all plugs are fully inserted and latched.
- Look for damage: Check for pinched or abraded communication cables, especially near cable ties or sharp edges.
- Power cycle: Reassemble, restore power, and wait for the charger to complete its startup sequence. Observe if E13 clears.
- Module isolation: A technician can disconnect optional modules one by one (e.g., RFID reader, external meter) to identify which module is causing the bus fault, then replace the defective Schneider EVlink module.
