Possible Causes
Glitch in Coast Spas control pack firmware, Corrupted settings after power surge, Faulty topside control communication, Intermittent sensor readings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before unplugging any control cables.
- Power reset: Turn off power for at least 5 minutes, then restore. This can clear transient software errors.
- Check topside cable: Inspect the cable from the topside control to the control pack for damage. Reseat both ends firmly.
- Inspect sensors: Ensure temperature and high-limit sensors are properly connected and not damaged.
- Factory reset (if available): Some Coast Spas controls allow a factory reset via button sequence; consult the manual. Note that custom settings will be lost.
- Board replacement: If SE persists, the control pack may require professional diagnosis or replacement.
