Food is consistently overcooked or scorched on the bottom while the top remains undercooked.

Possible Causes
Warped inner pot causing poor contact, Faulty bottom temperature sensor, Control board not regulating power correctly, Thick starchy foods sticking to bottom
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the cooker to cool before handling the inner pot or heating plate.
- Inspect inner pot: Check for warping or a domed base. Replace the pot if it does not sit flat on a countertop.
- Stir and deglaze: For sautéing, stir frequently and deglaze the pot with liquid before switching to pressure mode to prevent stuck-on food from burning.
- Sensor and board check: If scorching occurs even with adequate liquid and a good pot, test the bottom NTC sensor and inspect the control board for signs of damage. Replace faulty parts.
- Use lower settings: Use lower temperature or pressure settings for delicate foods and avoid using high-heat sauté for extended periods.
