Excessive Foaming / Vent Blockage Risk
Steam or liquid spurts out of the steam release valve violently during pressure cooking.

Possible Causes
Cooking foamy foods above recommended fill level, Starch buildup in anti-block shield, Partially blocked steam release valve, Float valve not sealing properly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep clear of the steam outlet to avoid burns. Do not cover the valve.
- Cancel cooking: Turn off and unplug the cooker. Allow pressure to drop naturally if venting is unstable.
- Check fill level and food type: Avoid filling above the max line, especially with beans, grains, or porridge. Use oil or butter to reduce foaming if recommended.
- Clean vent components: Once cool, remove and clean the steam release valve, anti-block shield, and float valve thoroughly.
- Use appropriate settings: For very foamy foods, use "Slow Cook" instead of high-pressure modes.
