Excessive Inner Pot Temperature Detected
Display shows HOT and cooker will not start a new program

Possible Causes
Residual heat from previous cycle, Inner pot empty or with very little liquid, Starch or food stuck to bottom causing hot spots, Faulty temperature sensor calibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use oven mitts when handling a hot inner pot. Steam and hot surfaces can cause burns.
- Allow to cool: Open the lid (if safe), remove the inner pot, and let the cooker cool for 20–30 minutes. Do not run cold water over a hot pot as it may warp.
- Check food and liquid level: Ensure there is sufficient liquid for the selected program. Most pressure programs require at least 1–2 cups of liquid.
- Clean the pot and heating plate: Remove any burnt food from the inner pot and gently wipe the heating plate. Stuck food can cause localized overheating.
- Restart with proper contents: Refill with adequate liquid and restart the program. If HOT appears immediately on a cool cooker, the bottom NTC sensor may be misreading and should be tested and replaced if necessary.
