How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Keep clear of the steam path. Do not cover the steam release with cloths or objects.
- 1. Cancel and depressurize: Stop the program and carefully release pressure in short bursts to prevent splatter.
- 2. Reduce fill level: For foamy foods (beans, grains, pasta), fill only to 1/2 or 2/3 of the MAX line as recommended.
- 3. Clean anti-block shield: Remove the shield from the underside of the lid and clean thoroughly.
- 4. Rinse steam release valve: Remove and wash the valve to clear any trapped food.
- 5. Adjust recipes: Add a small amount of oil and avoid thickening agents until after pressure cooking.
