Possible Causes
Insufficient liquid, Thick sauces or starch-heavy foods on bottom, Food layered too thick without deglazing, Inner pot not making full contact with sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and release pressure according to the manual before opening.
- Open and inspect: After pressure is released, open the lid and check the bottom of the pot for stuck or burnt food.
- Remove burnt food: Transfer salvageable food to another container. Soak and scrub the inner pot to remove burnt residue.
- Deglaze properly: When restarting, add liquid and scrape the bottom of the pot with a wooden spoon to remove any remaining stuck bits before closing the lid.
- Adjust cooking method: For thick sauces, cook under pressure with extra liquid and thicken after pressure cooking using Sauté mode.
- Check pot fit: Ensure the inner pot is not warped and sits flat on the heating plate.
Warning: Repeated burn errors without cleaning can damage the nonstick surface and sensors.
