Possible Causes

Overfilled inner pot above max line, Cooking foamy foods (e.g., beans, pasta) without enough oil or water, Clogged anti-block shield or steam release valve, Float valve not moving freely

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Do not cover the steam release with cloths or hands. Allow pressure to release safely.

  • Check fill level: Ensure the pot is not filled beyond the maximum line, and for foamy foods, do not exceed 1/2–2/3 full as recommended.
  • Use oil and proper liquid: Add a small amount of cooking oil to reduce foaming and ensure adequate liquid volume.
  • Clean lid components: After cooling, remove the steam release valve, float valve, and anti-block shield. Clean all parts thoroughly to remove starch buildup.
  • Verify float movement: Ensure the float valve pin moves freely and is not stuck with dried food.

Persistent spraying despite correct filling and cleaning may indicate a damaged steam release valve that should be replaced.
