How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and allow the cooker to cool fully before cleaning or disassembly.
- Clean heating plate: Remove the inner pot and thoroughly clean the heating plate with a soft damp cloth. Remove any burnt food, starch, or oil. Dry completely.
- Check for warping: Ensure the heating plate is flat and not deformed. A warped plate can cause hot spots and false overheat readings.
- Inspect sensor wiring: Access the underside of the cooker by removing the base. Look for melted insulation or wires touching the metal chassis. Separate and insulate any suspect wires with high‑temperature tape.
- Test sensor: Disconnect the bottom sensor from the PCB and measure resistance. A near‑zero reading indicates a shorted sensor that must be replaced.
- Replace components: Install a new bottom temperature sensor if shorted. If the sensor is normal but E4 persists, the control PCB may be misreading the sensor and require replacement.
