How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool fully. Do not restart immediately after an overtemperature error.
- Clean heater plate and sensor: Remove the inner pot. Wipe the heater plate and central sensor area with a soft damp cloth to remove burnt food or starch. Dry thoroughly with a lint-free cloth.
- Check for liquid intrusion: Inspect around the heater plate and inner rim for signs of past boil-overs. If moisture is present, allow the unit to air-dry for at least 12–24 hours in a warm, dry place.
- Ventilation check: Ensure the cooker is used on a hard, flat surface with adequate space around it. Blocked vents can cause internal overheating.
- Test with minimal load: Add the recommended minimum amount of water to the inner pot, reinstall it, and run a basic program. If E04 appears quickly, the sensor may be shorted or the PCB misreading temperature.
- Service recommendation: Persistent E04 even after cleaning and drying indicates a failing NTC sensor or control board. These parts should be tested and replaced by a professional.
