Foaming / Overfill Causing Liquid Ejection
Water or starchy liquid spurts out of the steam release valve during pressure cooking.

Possible Causes
Pot overfilled beyond MAX line, Cooking foamy foods (pasta, beans) without enough oil, Blocked anti-block shield or inner lid, Incorrect use of quick release
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep hands and face away from the vent. If liquid is spraying, cancel the program and allow natural pressure release.
- Check fill level: Ensure the total volume of food and liquid does not exceed the MAX line on the inner pot, and for foamy foods, stay below 2/3 full.
- Use oil for foamy foods: Add a small amount of cooking oil when cooking beans, grains, or starchy foods to reduce foaming.
- Clean anti-block shield: Remove the inner lid or anti-block shield (a small metal or plastic cover over the vent) and clean thoroughly.
- Use natural release: For very foamy dishes, allow pressure to drop naturally instead of using quick release.
If liquid ejection continues despite correct filling and cleaning, inspect and replace the anti-block shield or steam release valve as needed.
