Possible Causes
Combustion fan weak or not running, Fire pot partially clogged with ash, Low pellet feed rate, Leaking lid gasket or warped lid
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the grill to cool before cleaning or adjusting components.
- Step 1 – Clean fire pot and interior: Remove grates and drip tray. Vacuum ash from the fire pot and bottom of the cook chamber.
- Step 2 – Check combustion fan: Listen for a strong, steady fan sound. If weak or intermittent, inspect and clean the combustion fan motor and blades.
- Step 3 – Verify pellet feed: Observe pellet drop into the fire pot at a high temperature setting. If very few pellets feed, inspect the auger motor and controller output.
- Step 4 – Inspect lid seal: Check for gaps between the lid and body. Replace or add a high‑temp lid gasket if heat is escaping.
- Step 5 – Test with fresh pellets: Use dry, high‑quality pellets and retest temperature performance.
