Possible Causes
Wet or low-quality pellets, Restricted airflow, Excessive ash in fire pot, P-setting too high
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Avoid breathing heavy smoke directly.
- Change pellets: Empty the hopper and refill with dry, high-quality pellets. Store pellets indoors in a dry place.
- Clean fire pot and fan: Remove ash and check that the combustion fan and vents are clean.
- Adjust P-setting: Lower the P-setting to reduce pellet load and encourage cleaner burning.
- Run at moderate temp: Operate the grill at 250–300°F for a while to burn off residual moisture and stabilize combustion.
