Grease Ignition / Fire Hazard
Grease fire in cook chamber, flames under grates

Possible Causes
Heavy grease buildup on drip tray and in grease channel, Cooking at high heat with dirty internals, Foil blocking grease flow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not use water on a grease fire. Turn off and unplug the grill. Keep the lid closed to starve the fire of oxygen. Use a Class B or K fire extinguisher if flames escape.
- After fire is out and grill is cool: Remove grates, drip tray, and diffuser. Scrape and clean all grease surfaces and channels.
- Remove foil obstructions: If you use foil on the drip tray, ensure it does not block grease flow to the drain.
- Regular maintenance: Clean the grease system frequently, especially before high-heat cooks.
