Possible Causes
Grease drain tube partially blocked, Grease bucket not aligned, Cold ambient temperatures causing grease to solidify, Drip tray slope insufficient
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Work only on a cool grill. Grease can be very hot during and immediately after cooking.
- Step 1 – Warm and clean: On a mild‑temperature day, warm the grill slightly, then turn it off and cool until safe to touch. This softens hardened grease.
- Step 2 – Clear drain tube: Use a flexible brush or pipe cleaner to clear the drain tube from the drip tray to the bucket.
- Step 3 – Check alignment: Ensure the bucket is directly under the drain outlet and not tilted.
- Step 4 – Adjust tray slope: Confirm the drip tray is installed correctly and slopes toward the drain. Replace if warped.
