How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the grill to cool before deep cleaning.
- 1. Fuel quality:
- Empty hopper and discard any damp or crumbly pellets.
- Refill with fresh, high-quality hardwood pellets.
- 2. Clean fire pot and barrel:
- Vacuum ash from fire pot and bottom of cook chamber.
- Ensure all air holes in the fire pot are open.
- 3. Check combustion fan:
- Inspect fan blades for dust buildup and clean.
- Verify the fan runs at full speed during operation.
- 4. Inspect lid and body:
- Look for gaps around the lid and seams.
- Replace or add lid gasket if heat is visibly escaping.
- 5. Verify temperature probe:
- Compare displayed temperature with a separate thermometer.
- If the display reads higher than actual, replace the RTD sensor.
