How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep the lid closed, turn OFF and unplug the grill, and keep the grill away from structures. Use a Class B fire extinguisher if flames threaten to escape. Never use water on a grease fire.
- After fire is out and grill is cool, inspect damage: Check wiring, RTD, and interior surfaces for heat damage.
- Thoroughly clean interior: Remove all grates, drip tray, and diffuser. Scrape and clean all grease from the tray, channel, and body.
- Inspect drip tray: Replace a warped or perforated Timberwolf Drip Tray that allows grease to contact open flame.
- Adjust cooking practices: For very fatty foods, cook at lower temperatures and empty the grease bucket frequently.
