Possible Causes
Protective oils on new parts, Residual manufacturing coatings, New paint curing, Packaging residue left inside grill
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Operate the grill outdoors in a well-ventilated area. Do not cook food during burn-in.
- 1. Remove all packaging:
- Ensure no plastic, cardboard, or foam remains inside the grill.
- 2. Perform burn-in:
- Run the grill empty at 350–450°F for 45–60 minutes.
- Allow odors to dissipate completely before cooking.
- 3. Inspect new parts:
- If smell persists near a specific new component (e.g., gasket, paint), verify it is an OEM part rated for high temperatures.
