Possible Causes

Aging oven temperature sensor, Control board calibration drift, Poor rack placement or airflow, Door not sealing properly

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Use proper oven mitts when placing or removing thermometers and food from a hot oven.

  • Verify with thermometer: Place an oven-safe thermometer in the center of the oven and preheat to a known temperature (e.g., 350°F). Compare the displayed temperature to the thermometer reading.
  • Adjust calibration: Many Thermador controls allow offset adjustment (e.g., ±35°F). Refer to your user manual to enter calibration mode and adjust the offset to match actual temperature.
  • Inspect door gasket: Check the oven door gasket for gaps, tears, or compression. Replace if damaged.
  • Sensor check (advanced): If calibration cannot correct large errors, test the oven temperature sensor resistance at room temperature and at a known elevated temperature.

Replace the oven temperature sensor if readings are out of specification. If the sensor is good but temperature remains inaccurate, the control board may need replacement.
