Possible Causes
Robot operating on slope beyond specification, Tilt sensor overly sensitive or damaged, Chassis deformation affecting tilt angle, Loose tilt sensor mounting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot before moving it.
- Move to flat area: Carry the robot to a flat, stable surface and restart it. If E004 clears, the previous area may be too steep or uneven for safe operation.
- Check maximum slope: Verify your Ambrogio model's maximum slope rating in the manual (often 35–45%). Adjust the working area or perimeter wire to exclude steeper zones.
- Inspect tilt sensor mount: If you are comfortable opening the robot, locate the tilt sensor module (often a small PCB or sealed sensor fixed to the chassis). Ensure it is firmly mounted and not loose or hanging.
- Check for chassis damage: Look for bent frame parts or broken supports that could cause the robot to sit at an angle even on flat ground.
- If E004 appears on flat ground: The tilt sensor may be faulty and should be replaced with an Ambrogio-compatible tilt sensor module.
