Possible Causes
Charging contacts dirty or bent, Charging station not level, Guide/perimeter wire misaligned at base, Docking sensor fault on robot
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and disconnect the charging station from mains.
- Clean charging contacts: Use a dry cloth or fine abrasive pad to clean the metal contacts on both the robot and the charging station. Remove oxidation and grass residue.
- Check contact alignment: Ensure the robot's contacts line up with the station contacts when docking. Adjust the station position or anchoring pegs so the robot approaches straight.
- Level the base: Use a small level or visual check to ensure the charging station is not tilted. Pack soil or adjust pegs to stabilize it.
- Inspect guide/perimeter wire at base: The wire should be centered under the station as specified in the Ambrogio installation guide. Reposition the wire if the robot approaches at an angle.
- Test docking: Reconnect mains, power ON the robot, and send it to charge. If E006 persists, the docking sensor or charging contact assembly on the robot may be faulty.
