Possible Causes

Boundary wire broken or disconnected, Boundary wire transmitter in charging station failed, Poor boundary wire connection at terminals, Interference from nearby power cables

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and unplug the charging station from mains before working on the boundary system.

  • Check charging station LEDs: Verify that the station shows normal boundary signal status according to the Ecovacs manual. A flashing or off LED often indicates a loop break.
  • Inspect boundary wire connections: Open the terminal cover on the charging station and ensure both boundary wire ends are firmly clamped and not corroded.
  • Walk the perimeter: Follow the boundary wire around the lawn, looking for cuts, chew marks (rodents), or places where garden tools may have damaged the cable.
  • Use a wire break locator (if available): Some Ecovacs models or accessories allow measuring loop resistance or using a tone tracer to find breaks.
  • Repair breaks: Cut out damaged sections and reconnect using waterproof boundary wire connectors. Bury or peg the wire back down.
  • Test: Plug the station back in, confirm the boundary LED is normal, then power ON the mower and start a test run near the station.

If the boundary LED remains abnormal and E06 persists, the charging station boundary transmitter board may be defective and require replacement.
