Possible Causes
Broken boundary wire, Disconnected boundary wire at charging station terminals, Faulty boundary loop generator on station PCB, Interference from nearby cables
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and unplug the charging station power supply before touching the boundary wire terminals.
- Check station LED: Many Greenworks stations indicate boundary loop status with an LED. A flashing or off LED can mean a broken loop.
- Inspect boundary wire connections: Open the terminal cover on the charging station. Ensure both boundary wire ends are firmly clamped in the correct terminals and not corroded.
- Look for visible wire damage: Walk the perimeter and inspect for cuts from edging tools, pets, or garden work. Pay attention to where the wire crosses paths or driveways.
- Test continuity (advanced): Use a basic multimeter set to continuity or resistance to check the loop from one end to the other. Infinite resistance indicates a break.
- Repair breaks: Use Greenworks-compatible waterproof boundary wire connectors to join any broken sections. Do not twist wires together without proper connectors.
- Restore power and test: Plug the station back in, confirm the loop LED is solid, then power ON the mower and clear the error.
If E006 persists with a known-good loop, the charging station loop generator or station PCB may be defective.
