Possible Causes

Front bumper stuck in pressed position, Bumper microswitch damaged, Bumper sensor bar misaligned, Wiring from bumper to main PCB loose

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the mower and remove it from the lawn before inspection.

  • Check bumper movement: Press and release the front bumper. It should move freely and spring back. If it feels stuck, clean out grass and dirt from the bumper gap.
  • Inspect bumper switches: On many Hyundai models, small microswitches or contact strips are mounted behind the bumper. Remove the front cover and verify that the switches click when pressed and are not broken.
  • Check alignment: Ensure the bumper is not bent or rubbing against the chassis. Adjust mounting screws so it sits evenly.
  • Verify wiring: Follow the bumper sensor cable to the main control board. Confirm the connector is secure and wires are not damaged.
  • Test operation: Reassemble and start a manual mow. Gently press the bumper; the mower should stop and then resume when released. If E7 persists, replace the bumper sensor assembly.
