Possible Causes
Dirty or blocked ultrasonic sensor, Water ingress into sensor housing, Faulty sensor module, Loose sensor connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch OFF the mower before cleaning any sensors.
- Clean sensor face: Locate the ultrasonic or front obstacle sensor on the mower's front/top. Wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt, grass juice, or water spots.
- Check for cracks: Inspect the sensor housing for cracks or signs of water ingress. If moisture is visible inside, allow the mower to dry indoors for 24 hours.
- Inspect wiring: Open the top cover and verify the sensor cable is firmly connected to the main board.
- Test operation: After cleaning and drying, run the mower in an open area. If E16 recurs, replace the LandXcape ultrasonic/obstacle sensor module.
- Weather protection: Avoid using the mower in heavy rain if your model's sensors are not rated for such conditions.
