Possible Causes

Mower lifted by hand while blades running, Lift sensor switch stuck or contaminated, Debris wedged under front or rear lifting plate, Faulty lift sensor wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Immediately switch the mower OFF if it has been lifted while running. Never reach under the mower until the blades have fully stopped.

  • Reposition mower: Place the mower flat on the lawn and restart. If E7 clears, it was a normal safety stop due to lifting or tipping.
  • Clean lift mechanism: Turn the mower upside down and locate the lift sensor area (often near the front bumper or chassis pivot). Remove grass, mud, and stones that may prevent the sensor from returning to its normal position.
  • Check sensor movement: Gently press and release the lift plate or bumper. It should move freely and click the micro‑switch. If it sticks, clean and lightly lubricate with a dry silicone spray (avoid overspray on electronics).
  • Inspect wiring: Open the housing and trace the lift sensor cable to the main board. Ensure the connector is secure and the cable is not damaged.
  • Replace sensor: If E7 appears constantly even when the mower is flat and the mechanism is clean, replace the LandXcape lift sensor switch or module.
