Possible Causes
Sticking blade relay on main board, Faulty STOP button, Lift or tilt sensor not triggering immediately, Firmware issue delaying shutdown
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Critical safety warning: If blades do not stop quickly when the STOP button is pressed or the mower is lifted, discontinue use immediately. This is a serious safety hazard.
- Test STOP function: On a flat surface, start the mower and press STOP. Blades should stop within a couple of seconds. If not, do not use the mower until repaired.
- Check STOP button: Inspect the STOP button for sticking or physical damage. Replace the LandXcape STOP button assembly if it does not move freely.
- Sensor test: Gently lift the mower while running (following manual instructions). If blades do not stop immediately, the lift/tilt sensor or its wiring may be faulty.
- Board inspection: The blade motor relay or MOSFET on the main board may be sticking. This requires main board replacement by a qualified technician.
- Do not bypass: Never bypass safety circuits to keep the mower running. Always repair or replace faulty safety components.
