Possible Causes

Stuck front bumper, Broken bumper microswitch, Misaligned bumper frame, Damaged bumper sensor wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and remove the battery connector before working on the bumper assembly.

  • Check bumper movement: Press the front bumper in and release it along its full width. It should move freely and spring back without sticking.
  • Clean around bumper: Remove grass, mud, or stones lodged between the bumper and chassis that may hold it in the pressed position.
  • Inspect bumper switches: Remove the front cover to access the bumper microswitches or sensor bar. Ensure they are firmly mounted and actuated when the bumper is pressed.
  • Check wiring harness: Follow the bumper sensor cable to the main control board. Look for broken wires, loose connectors, or corrosion.
  • Reset and test: Reassemble, reconnect the battery, clear the error, and gently push the bumper by hand while the mower is in test mode (if available) to confirm proper detection.

If E06 persists with a free-moving bumper and intact wiring, the bumper sensor assembly or the main control board input may be defective and require replacement.
