Possible Causes

Loose multi-sensor harness, Damaged sensor cable, Water ingress in sensor connectors, Main board sensor interface failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and remove the battery if possible. Avoid pulling on cables directly.

Steps to check:

  • Open housing: Remove the top cover to access the main PCB and sensor harnesses.
  • Inspect harness: Locate the multi-pin connector that feeds bumper, lift, tilt, and other sensors. Ensure it is fully seated and free of corrosion.
  • Check cable routing: Follow the harness to the front and sides of the mower, looking for pinched, cut, or abraded sections.
  • Dry connectors: If moisture is present, gently dry connectors and allow the mower to sit in a dry place for 24 hours.
  • Reassemble and test: Power ON and check if E12 clears.

When to call a technician: If E12 persists, the main board or sensor harness may need replacement and should be handled by a service center.
