Possible Causes

Mower not correctly aligned with charging contacts, Bent or dirty charging contacts on mower or base, Charging station not level or has shifted, Guide/boundary wire too close or misrouted at the dock

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the mower before adjusting the charging station. Disconnect mains power to the base when cleaning contacts.

Resolution steps:

  • 1. Check station placement: Ensure the Yard Force charging station is on a flat, level surface with the recommended clearance in front and sides (see manual). Re‑peg the base if it has moved.
  • 2. Inspect charging contacts: Examine the metal contacts on both the mower and the base. Clean with a dry cloth or fine abrasive pad if corroded. Do not use aggressive chemicals.
  • 3. Verify wire routing: The boundary wire should run straight into the front of the station for the specified distance. Avoid sharp bends or loops near the dock that can confuse navigation.
  • 4. Test docking manually: Place the mower about 1–2 m in front of the station and press HOME (if available). Watch how it approaches. If it consistently misses, adjust the station angle slightly and retest.
  • 5. Check station power: Confirm the base LED indicates normal operation and the power supply is firmly plugged in. A weak or intermittent supply can cause docking errors.
  • 6. Replace worn contacts: If the spring‑loaded contacts on the mower are loose or broken, replace the charging contact assembly. Similarly, replace the charging rail kit on the base if bent or burned.
