Possible Causes
Left or right drive wheel stuck by hair or debris, Wheel suspension spring jammed, Wheel encoder sensor dirty or damaged
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch the robot OFF and flip it upside down on a soft surface.
- Check wheel rotation: Manually spin each large side wheel. They should rotate smoothly and compress up and down in their suspension wells. Remove any hair, string, or debris wrapped around the wheel axles.
- Clean wheel wells: Use tweezers or a small brush to remove compacted dust and hair from the wheel cavities. Pay attention to the inner side near the chassis where debris often packs in.
- Inspect wheel encoder area: On many Coredy models, a magnetic or optical encoder is integrated into the wheel module. If accessible, gently blow out dust and avoid touching any exposed sensor discs.
- Reset and test: Turn the robot back ON, press and hold the Clean button for 5–10 seconds to reset, then test in an open area.
If E3 persists or one wheel feels loose or does not spring back, the entire wheel module should be replaced.
