Possible Causes

Obstructed top camera or sensors (on hybrid models), Internal IMU (gyroscope) calibration error, Loose navigation sensor cable, Faulty navigation sensor board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off the robot before cleaning sensors.

  • Clean all external sensors: Wipe the top camera lens (if present), side wall sensors, and front IR sensors with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Relocate the dock: Place the charging dock in an open area away from mirrors, glass walls, and strong sunlight that can confuse sensors.
  • Reboot and recalibrate: Power off the robot for 1–2 minutes, then power it back on. Some Dreame models allow a sensor or map reset via the app; perform this if available.
  • Test in a simple room: Run the robot in a small, uncluttered room to see if the error reoccurs.
  • Internal check (advanced): Open the top cover and verify that the navigation sensor board and IMU cable are firmly connected to the main board.
  • Replacement: If navigation errors persist and other components are fine, replace the navigation sensor/IMU board as specified for your Dreame model.
