Possible Causes

Faulty gyroscope/IMU module, Loose internal connector, Firmware calibration error, Strong magnetic interference

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn the robot OFF before handling. Keep it away from strong magnets or large speakers during testing.

  • Power cycle: Turn the robot off for 1–2 minutes, then back on to clear transient sensor errors.
  • Flat surface calibration: Place the robot on a level, hard floor and start it from that position. Some models auto‑calibrate orientation at startup.
  • Remove magnetic fields: Move the robot away from magnetic strips, subwoofers, or large metal structures and test again.
  • Firmware update: Use the Dyson app to check for and install any firmware updates that may address sensor calibration issues.

If F7 continues and the robot cannot drive straight, the internal IMU/gyro module or main board likely needs replacement.
