Possible Causes
Cliff or obstacle sensors dirty, Virtual wall/no‑go zone set in app, IMU calibration off, Front bumper partially stuck
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot before cleaning sensors.
- 1. Clean all sensors: Wipe cliff sensors, front IR sensors, and the bumper area with a soft cloth.
- 2. Check bumper movement: Ensure the bumper moves freely and is not stuck on one side.
- 3. Review app map: Open the iHome app and verify that no restrictive no‑go zones or room boundaries are incorrectly set.
- 4. Reset map: Delete the existing map and allow the robot to remap the area.
- 5. Test in open area: Place the robot in a large, open room with minimal obstacles and start a cleaning cycle to see if behavior improves.
