Dock IR emitter blocked, Robot front IR receiver window dirty, Dock placed in poor location, Faulty IR receiver board in robot
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Keep liquids away from IR windows.
- 1. Reposition dock:
- Place the dock against a wall with at least 1.5 m (5 ft) clear space in front and 0.5 m (1.5 ft) on each side.
- Avoid direct sunlight or mirrors facing the dock.
- 2. Clean IR windows:
- Wipe the front of the dock and the robot’s front sensor window with a soft, dry cloth.
- 3. Manual docking test:
- Place the robot about 1–2 m (3–6 ft) in front of the dock and press the Home/Dock button.
- Observe if it detects and approaches the dock.
- 4. Check dock power:
- Ensure the dock LED is on; if not, test another outlet or adapter.
- 5. If E11 continues:
- The IR receiver board or dock emitter may be defective; replace the dock first, then the robot’s IR receiver module if needed.
