Possible Causes

LiDAR turret blocked by dust or object, LiDAR window dirty, LiDAR motor stuck, LiDAR ribbon cable loose

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off the robot and remove it from the dock.

  • Inspect LiDAR turret: On LiDAR models, the round turret on top should rotate freely. Check for objects or dust buildup around it.
  • Clean LiDAR window: Wipe the transparent LiDAR window with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquids directly on the sensor.
  • Check rotation: Gently try to rotate the turret by hand. It should move smoothly without grinding.
  • Restart the robot: Power on and start a cleaning cycle. Watch to see if the turret spins.
  • If turret does not spin or E7 remains: The LiDAR motor or sensor board may be defective or disconnected. This requires opening the top cover, checking the LiDAR ribbon cable, and possibly replacing the LiDAR module.
