Possible Causes
Internal gyroscope (IMU) malfunction, Severe shock or drop causing sensor misalignment, Firmware corruption affecting navigation module, Mainboard failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Place the robot on a flat, stable surface before attempting calibration.
- Step 1 – Power cycle: Turn the robot OFF for 1 minute, then turn it ON again. Ensure the robot is not moved during startup.
- Step 2 – Perform calibration (if supported): In the Lefant app, navigate to settings > device maintenance > sensor or gyroscope calibration (menu names vary by model). Follow on-screen instructions, keeping the robot still on a level floor.
- Step 3 – Check for physical damage: Inspect the robot for signs of impact (cracked shell, misaligned lid). Severe drops can damage the IMU.
- Step 4 – Firmware update: Connect the robot to Wi‑Fi and check for firmware updates in the app. Install any available updates and retry calibration.
- If E7 persists: The internal IMU/gyroscope chip on the mainboard may be defective. This typically requires mainboard replacement by a service center.
