Safety first: Turn the robot OFF before moving it or performing resets.

Steps:

• 1. Move to a different room: Place the robot in an open area away from large metal objects, speakers, or strong magnets. Some orientation sensors can be disturbed by strong magnetic fields.
• 2. Power cycle: Turn the robot off for 1–2 minutes, then power it back on. Start a short cleaning cycle and observe whether it still spins or stops with F5.
• 3. Check for impacts: If the robot recently suffered a hard fall or impact, internal sensors may be dislodged. Gently shake the robot; if you hear loose parts, stop using it and seek service.
• 4. Firmware update: Use the Miele app (if supported) to check for firmware updates that may address navigation sensor calibration issues.

When to call a technician: Persistent F5 usually indicates a failed gyroscope/IMU on the main PCB or a loose internal connector. These components are not user-serviceable; contact Miele service for PCB or sensor module replacement.
