Possible Causes

Robot stuck on threshold or cable, One drive wheel hanging over edge, Cliff sensors detecting drop-off, Debris jammed in wheel suspension mechanism

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the robot and remove it from any edge or obstacle.

Step-by-step:

  • Relocate the robot: Place the robot on a flat, hard surface away from stairs, dark rugs, or high thresholds. Restart cleaning.
  • Inspect drive wheels: Flip the robot over. Press each side drive wheel up and down; they should move smoothly in their suspension. Remove any hair, threads, or debris wrapped around the wheel axles.
  • Check for stuck wheel: Rotate each wheel by hand. If one feels stiff or locked, clean around the hub thoroughly. Use scissors to cut away hair.
  • Clean cliff sensors: Wipe the downward-facing cliff sensors (usually 4–6 small windows on the underside front) with a soft, dry cloth. Dust can cause false “suspended” readings.
  • Test again: Power on and run a spot clean in the open area. If the error does not reappear, resume normal use.

If the error recurs on flat surfaces: The wheel suspension switch or cliff sensor board may be faulty and may require replacement.
