Possible Causes

Dock placed in poor location, Obstructed IR docking signal, Dirty docking sensors on robot, Mapping data corruption

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Standard precautions only.

  • Reposition dock: Place the dock against a wall with at least 0.5 m (1.5 ft) clearance on each side and 1.5 m (5 ft) in front. Avoid corners and behind furniture.
  • Clean docking sensors: Wipe the front and top sensors on the robot and the IR window on the dock with a soft cloth.
  • Remove obstacles: Clear objects, cables, and rugs near the dock that may block the robot’s approach.
  • Remap home (if supported): Delete the existing map in the app and perform a full mapping run so the robot can learn the dock’s location again.
