Possible Causes
Blocked airflow causing motor overheating, Running in very hot environment, Clogged filters, Failing temperature sensor on motor or PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn the robot OFF and remove from dock.
- Allow to cool: Let the robot sit powered off for at least 30–60 minutes in a cool, dry room.
- Improve airflow: Empty the dust bin, clean filters, and clear any clogs in the suction path.
- Check environment: Avoid running the robot in rooms above 95°F (35°C) or in direct sunlight.
If E16 recurs under normal conditions with clean filters, an internal temperature sensor or motor may be failing and should be serviced.
