Possible Causes
LIDAR turret blocked by dust or objects, LIDAR window dirty or scratched, LIDAR motor not spinning, Faulty LIDAR sensor module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn the robot OFF.
- Inspect LIDAR turret: On mapping models, locate the raised round turret on top. Ensure nothing is placed on top of it.
- Clean LIDAR window: Gently wipe the clear plastic window around the turret with a soft, dry cloth.
- Check for rotation: Power the robot ON and start a cleaning cycle while observing the turret; it should rotate smoothly. If it does not move, stop the robot.
If E17 persists and the turret does not spin or mapping fails, the LIDAR module likely needs replacement.
