Possible Causes

Debris jammed in drive wheel wells, Hair wrapped around wheel axles, Broken or stripped wheel gearbox, Failing drive motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn the robot OFF and remove from dock.

  • Inspect wheel wells: Flip the robot over. Manually rotate each drive wheel. They should spring up and down and spin freely.
  • Remove debris: Use tweezers or a small brush to remove hair, threads, or debris wrapped around the wheel axles and inside the wheel wells.
  • Check suspension: Press each wheel up and release; it should move smoothly. If it sticks, clean around the suspension area.
  • Test on flat surface: Place the robot on a hard, flat floor and start a short cleaning run to see if the error reoccurs.

If one wheel feels rough, does not spin freely, or the error persists, the drive wheel motor/gearbox assembly may need replacement.
